Nintendo’s silence concerning the Switch’s Virtual Console has been worrisome considering the console releases in about a week, but unfortunately, Nintendo has replied with less than great news. Here’s what Nintendo had to say on the matter in an earlier press release:
“Virtual Console games will not be available on Nintendo Switch at launch. We will share more information in the future.”
So there you have it. Virtual Console games will not be releasing on the Nintendo Switch, at least at launch. If you were one of the people really looking forward to Virtual Console games on the Switch, I wouldn’t be too worried as the Wii U also did not launch with the Virtual Console. Instead, they released it a little bit down the line, and I’m sure that is what they are doing with the Switch as well.
