Zelda Wii U Final Name Predictions!

Are you wondering what the final name for Zelda Wii U will be? Well, we are too. That’s why I’m going to share some educated guesses on what this new Zelda game could be called.

Before we can determine the name of a Zelda game, we must first discover the main item the game is based around. This is actually how many Zelda games are named. For example, Ocarina of Time, Majoras Mask, Wind Waker and Skyward Sword are all named after key items in their respective games. But what could be Zelda Wii U’s main item? The book! Obviously the book with the Sheikah symbol will play an important role in the game with it even being featured in the first Zelda Wii U artwork we recieved a few g.PNGmonths ago, but is it even a book? Upon closer inspection, you can’t even see any pages, so maybe it’s a magical stone tablet of some sort. It’s hard to tell for sure.

Now that we know what the key item in this game is, we must find out what it will do in the game. Will it change the flow of time? Will it control the winds? It’s hard to say. But let’s take another look at that Sheikah symbol. What importance does that symbol have? Perhaps, it was simply created by the Sheikah for Link, or maybe this is a clue as to what the book does. The Sheikah symbol is found on many items in the Zelda universe including the Lens of Truth, Mask of truth,  Gossip Stones and the Timeshift stones, but we’re going to mostly focus on the timeshift stones for today. Timeshift stones were brought about in Skyward Sword, and had the power to manipulate time, hence the name, but how do these stones relate to the book? Along with them sharing a similar symbol, they each use some kind of blue energy. The blue energy in the book is found in the center eye of the Sheikah symbol. Could this mean the book could have some kind of time-bending powers? Possibly.

We’ve figured out the key item and what it does, so now it’s time to come up with a few final name ideas. It’s a good thing it’s not my job to name the game because this is the best I could come up with:

The Legend of Zelda: Timeshift Tablet

The Legend of Zelda: Book of Eternity

The Legend of Zelda: Sheikah Stone Tablet

The Legend of Zelda: Tablet of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Stone of Seasons

The Legend of Zelda: Book of Time

The Legend of Zelda: Book to the future

The Legend of Zelda: Timestone Tablet

The Legend of Zelda: Timeshift Tablet

The Legend of Zelda: Book of Secrets

The Legend of Zelda: Book of Being

Yeah… Most of those were pretty dumb ideas, but they make at least a little sense. I tried to think of some names that reflected the previously mentioned item, and names that sounded cool. None of them really had a nice ring to them, so that’s why I want you to put an idea or two down in the comments of what you think The Legend of Zelda Wii U might be called.
