As you all know, the Nintendo NX is coming out next year in March. With all this hype around the NX, it got me thinking. What will the NX’s final name be? That’s why today I’m going to list some of my ideas for what Nintendo’s next console could be called.
To start off, I’m going to go with a simple idea. What if Nintendo just keeps the NX’s name as the NX? I mean we’ve been calling it that for about a year now, and the name has kinda stuck. Nintendo has said that NX is just a random codename they thought up, but that doesn’t make it any less cool of a name.
Next, I would love if Nintendo called their next console the Nintendo Entertainment System. This name really pokes at my nostalgia, and I’m sure it does for others as well. Now I know many wouldn’t like it due to the fact of it taking no imagination and just using our nostalgia to sell their console, but it’s a great name regardless. I don’t know how to say it, but that name just screams “this is all you’ve ever wanted from Nintendo”, or maybe Nintendo will continue what they did with the SNES and call it the Super Duper Nintendo Entertainment System!
Now going to some made-up names. I’ve chosen the Nintendo Power, or any other name with power in it. (Nintendo PowerCube, Nintendo PowerHouse, etc.) If they did that, then they could bring back the “Now you’re playing with power!” That would be so awesome. This name would also try to ride on nostalgia, but to a lesser degree in my opinion.
The last name I have to share is the WiiWii. It’s a portable Wii console that doubles as a toilet, so you can go on the go. Not really. I apologize for that. The last name is the NEW Wii U. Just kidding again! In all seriousness, the last name I’m going to share is Virtual Boy Advance! Laughing out loud! I got you again! The next name is the Nintendo. No jokes. It’s plain and simple! It’s motto could even be “This IS Nintendo”, or not cause that’s kinda dumb. The Nintendo is a name that is right to the point. You’re playing Nintendo.
Those are all the stupid ideas I could come up with, but if you have any ideas of your own, please tell me in the comments below. If you enjoyed the post, don’t forget to like, share and follow the blog for more.
